Perfume: Past & Present
To celebrate the perfume industry the 4th floor of Harrods (Knightsbridge) plays host to a new exhibition entitled The Perfume Diaries. Curated by Roja Dove, in collaboration with Givaudan, it runs from 2nd September to 2nd October 2010. Special previews are this week.
Key historical players in the perfume industry will be opening up their archives and participating in the event which is being billed as 'a true celebration of the frangance industry.' The most significant scents from the 1800's to the contemporary will be on show and there will be interactive elements that allow visitors to use their senses of touch, smell and see to explore the common and rare ingredients of perfumery.
Not only that, according to the press release there will be talks from the who's who of the perfume industry namely Erwin Creed, Linda Pilkington from Ormonde's Jayne and Silvia Denz from Lalique.
If you're a lover of perfume, this exhibition is a must!
